4.1. DRIVE TRAIN FLUID
PETRO-AMERICA, drive train fluids are designed for use in transmissions, final drives, and hydraulic systems requiring a fluid meeting CATERPILLAR TO-4, ALLISON C4 requirements. They have high performance additives for detergents, dispersants, oxidation and corrosion inhibitors, anti-wear and extreme pressure agents, and foam suppressants.
APPLICATION:
CATERPILLAR transmissions, final drives, wet brakes, ALLISON power shift transmissions, torque converters, hydraulic systems with ALLISON C4 or CATERPILLAR TO-4 or TO-2 requirements. Also off-highway heavy duty automatic transmissions . Not to be used in farm tractor with low brake chatter. Under ambient temperature, use SAE 10W for hydraulic systems. SAE 30 for transmission systems. SAE 50 for final drives, and SAE 60 for final drives at high ambient temperatures. Use SAE 10w, SAE 30, SAE 50, SAE 60 for off-highway automatic transmissions, and SAE 10W, SAE 30 for mobile hydraulic systems.
