1.3. PASSENGER CAR - MULTIGRADE
PETRO-AMERICA, multigrade engine oils are blended for all four cycle gasoline engines, including those equipped with super chargers and turbo chargers, passenger cars.commercial automotive equipment including over the road vehicles of various types, city delivery trucks involved in start-stop services, taxi cabs, and fleet passenger cars and contractor equipment and other mobile and stationary equipment. . Multigrades 10w-30 and 10w-40 are blended for severe service conditions endured in fleet operations. They exceed the detergent dispersant military specification MIL-L-46152B . The base oil used is quality paraffinic stock to prevent buildup of harmful combustion chamber deposits in gasoline service. The additive systems are selected to provide superior high temperature detergency performance in super charged diesel engine service, excellent control of low temperature sludge in gasoline engine service, and quality protection against wear and corrosion, good viscosity temperature properties are brought about by the usage of highly effective viscosity index (VI) improvers.
APPLICATION:
PETRO-AMERICA, SAE 10W-30 meets the requirements of API service classification CC, required for light to medium diesel engine operation and thus has the SF/CC rating required by many diesel powered passenger car and light truck manufacturers. 10W-40 exceeds the performance requirements of API service classification SJ, required to meet warranty requirements of all current gasoline powered cars. Both oils meet the requirements of GENERAL MOTORS specification GM-6048M and FORD specification M2C153B. They may be used in four cycle, air cooled gasoline engines if multigrade oils meeting API SJ are recommended. follow the manufacturer's recommendation as to service classification and viscosity.
PETRO-AMERICA, SAE 5W-30 is a superior quality multigrade gasoline engine oil . Made from selected premium base oils and a shear viscosity index improver. Contains detergent dispersant, wear control, anti-oxidant, corrosion inhibitor and foam suppressant additives. It is recommended for all four cycle gasoline engines in passenger cars, light trucks, power boats, and other mobile and stationary equipment. SAE 5W-30; improves fuel mileage and gives superior engine protection over a wide range of climatic conditions. It provides faster cold cranking and improved oil mileage is obtained versus straight grade SAE-30. It will bring low wear and maintenance cost and long engine life.
PETRO-AMERICA, SUPER PREMIUM 20W-50 motor oil is formulated to meet the rigid service requirements of gasoline engine in today's modern passenger car. It is strongly recommended for use in high temperature and heavy duty operation such as hauling camping trailers and boats at constant high speeds for long periods of time. It may be used in four cycle air cooled engines whereby the manufacturer recommends a multigrade SJ/EC motor oil . It complies to API service classification SJ and exceeds SH, SF, SE, SD, Sc, and SB classifications. It is not recommended for aircraft engines, diesel engines, and two cycle engines.
